MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS
Medicare Advantage plans can be an alternative to Medicare and Medicare Supplements. The premium for these plans in many locations start out at $0. You must be eligible for Medicare and continue to pay your Part B premium.

Most of these plans do not have deductibles nor will you be responsible for the Part A or Part B deductible. They have doctor and specialist co-pays of $0 to $50. Many plans also include Part D prescription drug coverage. Some plans have a "maximum out of pocket" limit to protect you financially.
Some plans will require you to select a primary care doctor who will refer you to a specialist if needed. You pay the co-pay for each provider. If you don't like this type of plan other plans are available that do not require a doctor selection or a referral. Other plans will allow you to see any doctor that accepts Medicare and will agree to accept that plan.
